Approved Colour Reference
Provide a physical sample, agreed code or other reference that will be used for approval.
Fuming Materials manufactures black, white and colour masterbatch to customer-supplied formulations. Provide the polymer, approved colour reference, process, product thickness, surface finish, dosage and acceptance criteria so we can assess manufacturing feasibility.

A colour reference alone is not enough to define a masterbatch. The same colour can appear different when the polymer, product thickness, surface, process, temperature or dosage changes.
Provide a physical sample, agreed code or other reference that will be used for approval.
The exact base polymer or blend must be known so carrier compatibility can be reviewed.
State the process, temperature, thickness, surface, opacity requirement and intended dosage.
The final shade and production suitability must be approved by the customer under agreed viewing and process conditions.
Practical technical review
Specify the resin, dosage, article thickness, surface texture and physical colour reference. Evaluate the actual moulded or extruded article under agreed viewing or measurement conditions.
Read the related technical guideIdentify the resin, blend, recycled content and natural base colour.
Provide the physical sample, code or approved reference and state how the colour will be judged.
State whether the product is film, extrusion, injection moulding or another process, including temperature and equipment.
Provide the product thickness, surface finish, opacity or transparency requirement and current dosage.
Share the current masterbatch or sample, expected quantity and packing requirement.
Collect the reference, polymer, process, thickness, surface, dosage and approval conditions.
We assess your established pigment and carrier formulation against our equipment capabilities and pellet requirements.
The customer evaluates the sample under the intended production and viewing conditions.
A physical sample is usually the strongest reference. An agreed colour code or other standard can also be used when the approval method and viewing conditions are defined.
The base material, natural colour, thickness, surface and process can change the visible shade, opacity and required dosage.
A digital image can support discussion but should not be treated as the final colour standard. Final approval should use an agreed physical or measured reference.
The customer confirms the shade and production suitability on the actual polymer, product design and manufacturing process.
Share the colour reference, polymer, process, product thickness, surface, opacity or transparency requirement, dosage, expected volume and packing need.
